About the Show

Abigail Corman

Abigail Corman is a stained glass sculptor whose work transforms glass into luminous, emotionally resonant forms. Working primarily in three-dimensional stained glass sculpture, she reimagines a traditionally flat medium into living, light-filled figures that interact with space and viewer alike. Her work often centers on animals, not merely as subjects, but as quiet companions that embody innocence, comfort, and connection.

Her work has been shown at the Kentucky Artisan Center, the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, and the Fasig-Tipton Auction House, as well as in galleries throughout the region. Through her studio practice, Sky Glass Studio, Abigail continues to explore the poetic relationship between light, form, and emotion, creating work that is both sculptural and soulful.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My lamps are meant to light more than a room, they’re meant to light up your soul. Through glass, color, and form, they invite lightness, peace, and quiet joy into everyday spaces. My animal sculptures are companions as much as artworks, offering comfort, imagination, and a reminder of our connection to something gentle and instinctive. Each piece is created to inspire a brighter way of seeing- the world, and ourselves.

Brittany Cosgrove

Brittany has been the Arts Programming Assistant at the Ohio Art League nonprofit arts organization since 2023 where she assists with creating opportunities for Ohio Artists and developing their artistic careers. She enjoys participating in arts festivals, and was an emerging artist at the 2023 Columbus Arts Festival, and 2023 Upper Arlington Arts Festival. She tattoos out of her private studio at Parlor Suites in Columbus, OH and regularly exhibits her work at events and galleries in communities around Columbus.

ARTIST STATEMENT

“For me, art is a way to celebrate the beauty and intricacies of life and nature. I am a Columbus-based tattoo and acrylic artist who also enjoys teaching, hiking, playing music, and gardening. My creative practice is deeply shaped by my love of nature and by my two young sons, who inspire me to create with care, curiosity, and intention.

I have always had a passion for creating and have explored many creative outlets throughout my life, including music, painting, sewing, and crochet. I spent many years immersed in instrumental music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Otterbein University and a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Arizona State University. For five years following my graduate studies, I pursued a career as a professional musician, regularly performing with bands, ensembles, and pit orchestras while also teaching music lessons.

When the COVID pandemic shifted all of my lessons online and brought live performances to a halt, I found a new way to express my creativity through an old love of mine: acrylic painting. Although I had painted throughout my life, the unexpected time and space allowed me to reconnect more deeply with visual art. During this period, I realized that I could build a sustainable career centered around art while also starting a family.

My paintings often feature realistic details complemented by more abstract elements that reference sound, movement, and energy. In recent years, stained glass has become a central source of inspiration in my work. I am drawn to the structure, symbolism, and craftsmanship found in stained glass across different centuries, as well as the way light interacts with their color and form.

Since diving more deeply in visual art, I also have been pursuing a more elusive art form: tattooing. I have long been fascinated by the history and beauty of tattoo art and gave myself my first tattoo in 2011. I began practicing tattooing more seriously on synthetic skins in 2023 and, in 2025, completed an intensive tattoo mentorship through Tattooing 101. This experience allowed me to learn from multiple professional tattoo artists from across the globe. Since completing my training, I have been tattooing out of my private studio at Parlor Suites in Columbus, Ohio. I enjoy working in a variety of styles, with a particular love for creating nature-inspired color tattoos.

My tattoo studio is a safe and welcoming space for anyone seeking a meaningful piece of art on their body. I approach tattooing with intention and thoughtfulness, offering an experience rooted in mutual respect and trust. I see tattooing as a collaborative and often healing process, where art becomes a marker of growth, joy, remembrance, or change. I strive to be an artist who is comforting and present, and who creates artwork that others will love for a lifetime. My work continues to evolve as I grow as an artist, mother, and collaborator, guided by curiosity, care, and a deep respect for craft.”

Alissa Hazzard

I’m an artist based in Columbus, OH specializing in handcrafted disco balls and shapes. Each piece of glass is placed with love!

As a natural creative with a passion for dancing and community, I seek to provide joy and light for all. I’m a strong advocate for having a disco ball in every room of your house and believe that everyone deserves to shine. Partnering with the sun and spotlights, I demonstrate the magic of sparkle and reflection with every disco I make in hopes that you find it all within yourself too.

When I’m not disco-ing, I spend my time dancing at local events in Columbus, adventuring with my partner and laughing with my friends.
