Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative,
Keeping the Fine Art of Printmaking Alive in Central Ohio

934 Gallery invited Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative to collaborate with them to try a new, pop-up public art experiment…at the mall! This window display is a completely different venue for our artists, actually creating a new intersection with the public where the fine art of printmaking can dive deeper into the community. We typically offer tours of our studio and exhibit our prints in galleries but welcome this new way to connect outside of typical venues. The featured prints from the diverse artists in our cooperative employ traditional techniques such as relief (both woodcut and linoleum), collagraph, etching and silkscreen; these prints combine traditional methods with innovative applications and contemporary, socially relevant themes. The artists of Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative are committed to keeping the fine art of printmaking alive in central Ohio.
