About the Artists cont.

Clara Cecile Hirsch is a photographer and mixed media artist from Columbus. Having graduated from her visual arts studies at Columbia University in 2020, she spent two years in Paris before settling back in Ohio. Her first solo exhibition, “As It Ever Was,” was in Paris in November of last year, and this will be her first time showing in Ohio. The works included in this show are still life photographs, collages and handmade journals, all part of an ongoing project on the practice of diary-keeping, in which Clara draws from her own journaling processes and those of the people around her.

Allison Moore is a queer and trans artist focusing primarily on silver based film photography. In her process of coming out she used photography as a way of examining her perspective on femininity and womanhood. Asking herself what a woman is. Where is the individual? What is societal?
