934 Digital Garage Design Thinking Camp
This free 5-session camp is for youth grades 9-12, residing in the city of Columbus, OH, who have a passion for—or interest in—creative thinking and tech-based art concepts. No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn.
Along the way, students build some of the tools they will need to participate in the final project. 3D scanning, 3D modeling, 3D printing, latex mold making, epoxy casts, basics of experience design, maker spaces and the DIY movement, NFTs and decentralization are all being explored in this five-week experiential hands-on camp that blends engineering, coding, community, and art. The program participants will share their work with family friends and community at the Digital Garage at 934 Fest on Friday, Sept 9.
The program takes place at 934 Cleveland Ave. Columbus, OH 43201 and session dates are:

ARTSWAY Columbus Summer Tech Youth Mural Program
Calling all Columbus artists, grades 9-12, who are ready to level up their skills, paint BIG, and bring a wall to life under the instruction of professional artists — this 10-session, immersive, STEAM-based arts camp is for YOU!
ARtsway is a free, community-based mural tech mentorship program which infuses technology, design, digital animation, painting, and placemaking. Students learn how to design and create a mural under the leadership of professional digital and visual artists, culminating in the creation of students’ individual “mobile” murals along with one permanent mural installation per neighborhood cohort.
In the process, students also learn how to animate designs digitally, and are introduced to augmented reality (AR), which is used to bring the program’s permanent murals “to life” when viewed through a smart phone screen. ‘AR’ in ARtsway is capitalized to reflect the program’s augmented reality component.
ARtsway has four cohorts, or “camps”, each located in a different Columbus neighborhood: Franklinton, the Hilltop, King-Lincoln Bronzeville, and the South Side. Session dates and times vary by cohort.
